Varsity Letter Requirements

Earn 35 points, with a one-year carryover. Here's how to earn them:
1) The varsity points you earn in your events in each meet; Dual meet 5-3-1; Tri meet 5-3-2-1; Invite 10-8-6-4-2-1.
2) One point per person for each team victory, if you compete in that meet on the varsity level.
3) Place in the top eight at District in your event.
4)If you participate on the j.v. level and you effort would have placed you at the varsity level, you will receive those points.
5) If, during a meet, you do an event that you are not signed up for normally, but do so to help the team, you'll receive one pt.
6)Perfect attendance=3 pts.
7)Points for GPA: 4.0=10, 3.5=8' 3.2=6; 3.0=4.
8) Coaches' decision
Deciding not to compete in an event without talking to your Coach is NOT an option. Also, you are expected to stay at the meet the entire duration, cheering on your team. Failure to comply with those two rules may cause you to forfeit any accumulated points. To receive a varsity letter, you must finish the season in good standing-Coaches' decision.
